Safety First

Our itinerary allows for sufficient rest days to adequately acclimatize to the high altitudes your body will see during this trek.

Our guides have decades of combined experience guiding in the Himalayas. Many not only lead treks to base camp, but are also experienced mountain guides on Everest, Ama Dablam, Lobuche, Island Peak and many other peaks in the region.

Responsible Climbing

There are less expensive options for an Everest Base Camp trek, however, this typically comes at a price that many travelers don't notice: poor working conditions and extremely low salaries for porters and guides. With RadGlobalAdventures, LLC, all of our staff receive full insurance and are well-equipped. We offer excellent salary packages to our guides, porters, and other trekking staff. We also pay sustainable salaries and wages during the low season when no work is available.

We limit our porters to carry a maximum of 30 kilograms. We pride ourselves in the best working conditions for the people who will be taking care of you during this wonderful adventure, This allows our staff to care for their own family and also support their local economy. Tipping is also customary and our suggested tipping guidelines under the FAQ are more generous than most other companies, but ensures the best possible experience for our employees and for you.

Comfort & Safety

Our philosophy puts both your safety and your comfort as our top priorities. Our trekking guides are trained in skills to recognize AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Our staff is credentialed by HRA (Himalayan Rescue Association), KEEP (Kathmandu Education Invironment Project), and TAAN (Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal).

We believe health is wealth. Guides and porters are fully insured, and sufficient trekking gear is supplied by us. Emergency First Aid Kits are carried by trek leaders. From Kathmandu, we stay in contact with our trekking guides with the latest weather forecasts.

No Hidden Costs

No Hidden Costs section: Our prices are competitive and our service top notch. You will not be surprised with additional expenses in Nepal. We have included all of the information right here on our website about every expense; including visas, tipping, and even recommended spending cash. There are no hidden costs, which is rare in Nepal.

Many companies will offer you a cheaper price for a cheaper experience and then add a ton of extra fees when you arrive in Kathmandu. This violates our philosophy and ethics. We guarantee fair prices and unmatched services.

2017 Radiating Hope Everest Team

Fundraising

Our April 2020 Everest Base Camp Trek includes opportunities to raise money for our charity partner, Radiating Hope. RadGlobalAdventures, LLC will donate $500 to Radiating Hope for each climber who participates in the trek. These funds are used to build or upgrade cancer centers in developing countries. Specifically, Radiating Hope has the objective to improve access to radiotherapy services and has been spear-heading an effort at the Kathmandu Cancer Center.

Trekkers are also encouraged to fundraise for Radiating Hope, but this is not a requirement in order to join the trek. Any climbers who fundraises $14,000 for Radiating Hope, will receive a fully funded climb (not including airfare or other “exclusions” listed elsewhere).
